Taking Vacation while the Internet Never Sleeps

This week is a vacation week for my husband and me.

We like “stayvacations”. Spending time at home enjoying our little corner of the world.

A Bloggers view of vacationing while the internet never sleeps

a period of suspension of work, study, or other activity, usually used for rest, recreation, or travel; recess or holiday

Because the internet never sleeps I wasn’t sure what to do with my website during vacation.

I am only one woman.

And one needing some time off.

A couple of weeks ago, I hatched a plan to blog three times a week.
It’s a huge goal for me.
One I hope I can keep up with.

  1. Monday about Quilts and quilting
  2. Wednesday about cooking and baking,
  3. Friday is for creating a beautiful life. Right now I’m on a table decorating kick 🙂

I plunged into my writing. (of course, my sewing had to take a back seat 🙁 )
Shop Del~Lillian's, Fiber Art for Trend Setters
and quickly concluded: I would have had to write 9 blog posts in a couple of weeks, and have them scheduled throughout my vacation.

I Subtracted all the time I spend doing other things

  • Cleaning the house
  • Cooking and baking
  • Piano practice
  • Music lessons
  • And my morning workouts

There isn’t a lot of time left over for my normal writing schedule, let alone doubling or tripling up on it!

And it wasn’t leaving ANY room for quilting and sewing!

Yikes. That’s just not right.

So this week I’ve decided to let my website have a little lull in activity.

You don’t mind do you?

I’ll be back next week.

Quilting, Baking, and Creating.

Usually, I’m glued to the computer with a quilting commitment, while we are vacationing.

This year I promised myself to take a vacation and unplug.
The only exception is my shop, which is open 24/7 and checked on.

Have a great week, Quilting, Baking and Creating your beautiful Life!

I’ll be enjoying a quiet “stayvacation” with family and friends.

Until Next Week 🙂
