It’s super simple to create a joyful work space and you already know how to do it!
One morning I walked into my clean kitchen.
And was struck by the Joy that I felt.
A clean workplace…it is like a blank canvas waiting for creativity to explode.
When I can walk in and tackle a project right away, that’s pure Joy!.
It also allows me to use my time more wisely and I’m even more creative
It’s simple and the best part is you already know how to do it.
Keep is simple and uncluttered
I love little odds and ends, Trinkets and Knick Knacks, just like everyone else…
- They are Dust collectors
- They take time to take care of
- They clutter your space
- They clutter your mind.
A Place for Everything and Everything in it’s place
Keep it picked up
- Sweep it up.
- Empty the trash
- Vacuum and dust
- Put things back where they belong when you’re finished using them.
We all know it! If you put stuff back where it belongs, you’ll know where to find it next time. Which means you won’t waste time looking for it. 🙂
Get Rid of stuff you don’t use or like!
If you have stuff you don’t use, it’s wasting your space and your time every time you rummage through a drawer.
Give it away or sell it on Ebay or EtsySame goes for the stuff you dislike. What’s the point of having stuff you don’t like hanging around?
I sell my gently used craft books on both Ebay and Etsy
In my Etsy Shop:
Now you want to know if I follow my own advice…LOL.
I am a work in Progress.
My Quilting Cave rarely looks as if the Taz showed his face.
If I want “Joy” in my work space I need to stay dedicated and persistent to the plan.
- Simple and uncluttered
- A place for everything and everything in its place
- Put things away when done
- Get rid of what I don’t use, toss the things that I dislike
What about You?
Do you go into your work space, whether it’s your kitchen, sewing room, or craft/hobby area. with joy or dread?
Will you have to tidy up before you can even begin a project?
Will you work among the mess?
